Guidelines for the
Adult Financial Assistance Program
The purpose of the Adult Financial Assistance Program is to provide financial assistance to a troop
leader, assistant troop leader or adult chaperone (needed to meet safety requirements) so that the
girls in the troop have the opportunity to participate in Girl Scout activities, events and trips.
Individual grants are limited to $100.00 per program year for all program levels. All grants are subject
to the availability of funding.
Procedures:
1.
This application is to be completed by an adult or the troop leader within 10 days of
receipt from service center. Please indicate specific monetary amount(s) in the Amount
Requested Area on the form. All information will be kept confidential.
2.
The yearly membership registration fee of $15.00 will be processed immediately upon
registration.
All other grant requests will be processed within a month of receipt of this application. For
approved troop adults, a check will be mailed to the troop leader and for individually
approved adults, notification will be sent by email. Financial Assistance approval should
be obtained from the Service Center prior to registration for a program activity/event.
3.
All funds that have been granted to an adult that have not been used are to be returned to
the service center by June 30
of each year.
