Mood
: The feeling the author creates for the reader.
Personification
:
Giving human qualities to nonhuman things.

The sequence of major events in a story.

Point of View:
The perspective from which a story is told.
• First person: Narrator tells the story from his/her own perspective.

Protagonist:

Rising Action:
The series of events that lead to the Climax of the story to build suspense.
Setting:
The time and place in which a story unfolds.
Simile:
A comparison between two unlike things which uses the words “like” or “as.”
