Note Taker Information and Application
Thank you for volunteering to support your classmate(s) by providing lecture notes. As a token
of appreciation, you will receive an honourarium at the end of term. Additionally, this position
has been recognized through Dalhousie’s
Co-Curricular Record

If you are interested in becoming a Note Taker please contact us to state your interest.
If you agree to take notes, and are approved to take notes, you will:
 Read and sign our confidentiality form (on reverse) and abide by its requirements
 Review our Note Taker handbook (available for the 13/14 academic year)
 Submit your notes electronically to
notetaking@dal.ca
(please scan hard copy notes or
type notes)
o Notes are to be submitted weekly*
 Inform the Note Taking Coordinator immediately if you’ve dropped or withdrawn from
the course(s)
*If you are unable to submit your notes electronically, an access code will be provided to you to
make copies of your notes (in Killam G28). Hard copy notes are to be submitted weekly.
While not mandatory, you are encouraged to attend a Learning from Lectures workshop
offered by Dalhousie’s
Study Skills Service

Honourarium – $75/course per term with exceptions for King’s Foundation Year Program (FYP)
and the Dalhousie Integrated Science Program (DISP).
Honourarium – $100/course per term for FYP and DISP.
