DIVERSITY LOTTERY REGISTRATION PROGRAM
FOR 2014 - 2015 (DV-2015)
(October 1, 2013 to November 2, 2013)
Registration Period:
Entries for the DV-2015 diversity visa lottery must be submitted electronically between Tuesday,
October 1, 2013 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and Saturday, November 2, 2013 at
12:00 noon (EDT).
Applicants may access the Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Forms at

during the one-month registration period beginning October 1
. Paper
entries will not be accepted. Applicants are strongly encouraged to not wait until the last
week of the registration period to enter. Heavy demand may result in delays. No entries will
be accepted after Noon EDT on November 2, 2013.
Persons not eligible:
Persons born in the following countries are NOT eligible in the Diversity Lottery: Bangladesh,
Brazil, Canada, China (Mainland born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador,
Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, South Korea, Vietnam,
the United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
Note: Persons born in Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Taiwan are eligible to apply for the
DV-2013 lottery.

To qualify, you must:
(1) Be a native of a qualifying country. However, if you are born in an ineligible country but
your spouse was born in an eligible country, you can claim your spouse’s country of birth,
provided both you and your spouse are issued visas and enter the U.S. simultaneously. Also,
if you were born in an ineligible country, but neither of your parents were born or resided
there at the time of the birth, you may be able to claim one of the parent’s countries of birth.
(2) You must have either a high school education or its equivalent, or two years of work
experience within the past five years in an occupation requiring at least two years of training
or experience to perform. (The U.S. Department of Labor’s O*Net OnLine database will be
used to determine qualifying work experience: Applicants will

Application Information:
There is no initial application fee. All entries will be disqualified if more than ONE entry
is submitted, regardless of who submitted the entry. You may prepare and submit your
own entry, or have someone submit the entry for you.
