The   s uccessful   a pplicant   w ill   p rovide   a   h igh   l evel   o f   t echnical   s upport   t o   e xternal   c ustomers   w hile   w orking  

under   m inimal   s upervision.   T he   f ocus   w ill   b e   t o   p rovide   o n-­‐site   i nstallation,   v alidation   a nd   c ommissioning   o f  

new   C yTOF   i nstruments   a s   w ell   a s   d iagnosing   a nd   r epairing   e xisting   i nstruments   i n   t he   f ield.     T he   p osition   w ill  

also   r equire   t he   a bility   t o   t rain   u sers   o f   t he   C yTOF   i nstrument   o n   b asic   f unctionality   o f   t he   s ystem,   a s   w ell   a s  

the   a bility   t o   p rovide   s upport   f rom   D VS   S ciences   f acilities   o r   f rom   a   r emote   l ocation.     T he   p osition   w ill   a lso  

 

include   d uties   r elated   t o   s ervice   c oordination,   c ustomer   s upport   a nd   c ross-­‐functional   t eam   m ember   s upport.  

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Provide   o n-­‐site   i nstallation,   v alidation   a nd   c ommissioning   o f   i nstruments

•

 

Perform   h ands-­‐on   o n-­‐site   t roubleshooting,   s ervice   a nd   r epairs  

•

 

Provide   h igh   l evel   t echnical   s upport   t o   e xternal   c ustomers   a t   t heir   l ocation

•

 

Provide   o n-­‐site   t raining   t o   t he   c ustomers

•

Interface   w ith   c ross   f unctional   w ork   t eams   s uch   a s   f ield   a pplications,   c ustomer   s upport/services,  

•

 

product   m anagement,   m anufacturing   a nd   m arketing/sales

Develop   S ervice   t echnical   d ocumentation            

•

Create   a nd   m aintain   s ervice   i nformation   i n   t he   c ompany   e nterprise   d atabase  

•

Timely   a nd   p rofessionally   h andle   f ield   s ervice   c alls   a nd   i ssues   a rising   f rom   t he   f ield   s ervice   v isits,  

•

triage   w ith   f ield   a pplications   s cientists   a s   a ppropriate  

Timely   c omplete   a nd   s ubmit   a ll   r equired   p aperwork    

•

Communicate   w ith   t he   c ustomer   t o   e nsure   s atisfaction   a nd   i mplement   a ny   n ecessary   c orrective

Minimum   r equirements:

Bachelor’s   d egree   o r   e quivalent   t echnical   q ualifications   i n   e lectrical/   m echanical   e ngineering   o r  

•

physical   s ciences.     M asters   o r   h igher   l evel   e ducation   i s   p referred.  

Experience   i n   s ervice   a nd   m aintenance   o f   h igh-­‐end   L ife   S ciences   o r   m edical   c apital   e quipment.    

•

 

Experience   w ith   m ass   s pectrometers,   e specially   I CP-­‐MS   i s   p referred

 

Working   k nowledge   o f   M S   O ffice,   E xcel

•

Working   k nowledge   a nd   a bility   t o   t est   a nd   t roubleshoot   e lectrical   a nalog   a nd   d igital   c ircuits    

•
