You have had a couple of Tax Seasons dealing with COD Forms 1099-C but maybe are feeling just a
little panic at the new aggressiveness of IRS in matters relating to COD and Form 1040 Line 21? You
took this Class last year but think that while you’ve got some understanding, you’re possibly missing
pieces of the puzzle? Correspondence Audits are increasing and CP 2000’s are ignoring Form 982 on a
return when there is no Line 21 income. Get hands-on training before facing IRS or your clients.
“Hands on” session featuring case studies in a workshop format. Attendees are encouraged to bring their
Laptops with their favorite tax software pre-loaded. They will receive problems to solve just like they will
in their offices this coming tax season. IRS Correspondence Audits are increasing and more often than not
CP 2000’s are ignoring the presence of a Form 982 on a return when there is no Form 1040 Line 21 Income
(which IRS’ AUR Unit interprets to mean a Form 1099-C has been omitted).
