C, D, E

majors; B, C, D minors (two octaves)

Scales: in the above keys (minors in harmonic or melodic form at candidate’s choice)

Chromatic Scales: starting on C and D (two octaves)

Arpeggios: the common chords of the above keys for the ranges indicated

Dominant Seventh: in the key of F (two octaves)

SIGHT-READING*: a short piece in simple or compound time within the keys, notes and overall range of

the scale requirements set up to and including this grade. See also p. 9.
