ANNEX – B –
ABC COMPANY is committed to the establishment and maintenance of a safe, healthy and environmentally
responsible workplace and to continual improvement of its environmental, health and safety programs. In keeping
with this commitment, the Company shall
 Meet or exceed the requirements of applicable federal, provincial and local environmental, health and safety
statutes and regulations, including but not limited to the Canada Labour Code (Part II), the Ontario
Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Workplace Safety Insurance Act.
 Provide a workplace that promotes health and safety of all employees.
 Provide appropriate training and job instruction to all employees.
 Conduct operations so as to reasonably minimize risk from adverse environmental, health and safety
conditions.
 Communicate and maintain an awareness of the commitment to environmental, health and safety protection at
all levels of the Company.
 Communicate appropriate environmental, health and safety information to affected employees.
 Hold all employees accountable for compliance with this policy and implementing procedures within their area
of responsibility.
 Establish appropriate controls, and allocate adequate resources to ensure the Company’s Policy is being
properly implemented.
It is recognized that health and safety is everyone’s responsibility, including management, supervisors, workers,
visitors and contractors.
Consideration of employee health and safety shall be an ongoing priority in ABC COMPANY policies and activities.
Management and supervisory personnel are responsible for the safety and health of all employees working directly
under their supervision and are expected to establish safe working conditions and conduct operations in a safe
manner at all times. As such, supervisors will be held strictly accountable for the health and safety of workers under
their direct supervision.
The Company will endeavor to take appropriate measures to establish safe working conditions for all. Every worker
is expected to take part in ensuring a safe workplace by reporting unsafe conditions and practices immediately and
by working in compliance with the law and with established safe work practices and procedures as established by
the Company.
Contractors and visitors shall comply with all legislated requirements and Company procedures to ensure their
activities do not create an environmental, health or safety hazard to our employees.
ABC COMPANY will ensure that all environmental, health and safety issues are dealt with promptly and that, as the
Company evolves, so shall the policies and procedures of the Company. This will be accomplished through an
annual review process, and through ongoing input from the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee,
contractors and other external parties.
