Lesson: #1 of the 5 week unit
Purpose of the lesson: The students will be able to use the correct techniques to perform the
volleyball forearm pass.
Psychomotor objective
: The students will be able to perform the following components of the
forearm pass at least 75% of the time as measured by teacher observation and diagnostic check-lists:
a.
Maintain eye contact with the ball
CUE:
Watch the ball
b.
Hands remain joined throughout skill
CUE:
Hands together
c.
Use a "poking action" to contact ball
CUE:
Get under the ball
d.
Use legs for power, not the arms
CUE:
Use your legs
Cognitive objective: The student will be able to
describe the differences between product and
process evaluations as measured by questioning
Affective objective: The students will work cooperatively with one another to learn the skill
of forearm pass while using task sheets.
