A 10 yr. old male child had profuse diarrhea for the past 3 days. What kind of fluid was lost from
his body? What is the treatment?
2.
A 47 yr. old homeless person was rushed to the local community hospital in a semi-comatose
state. Lab Tests were ordered but all the Lab results were normal except Potassium levels of 12
mEq/L. Normal Potassium level is 3.6-4.8 mEq/L. Is this a life threatening situation? How would
you treat the patients?
