To Whom It May Concern:
The Student Government of Texas A&M International University will be having its third annual
“The Big Event” on Saturday, March 26, 2011. We would like to invite Home Depot to partner
with the TAMIU Student Body as we take this day to give back to the Laredo community through a
donation of trees.
The Big Event, is cherished tradition started at Texas A&M University in 1982, and today has
become the largest, one-day, student-run service project in the nation. This tradition has spread
throughout the Texas A&M University System. The Big Event at TAMIU servers as the means for
all of our students to give back to the community in a unified day of service.

On March 25
, the Big Event this year will focus on the following locations: (elaborate here) on
park and skate park. Tell us what the plans are for cleaning, ie painting, planting, etc.
The Big Event serves as a unique way for Home Depot to get involved in two ways; through a
donation that benefits thousands of visitors at the local city parks, along with an opportunity for
Home Depot employees to get involved and give back to the community also..
