COLOR GUARD: Leader, American Flag Bearer, Scout Flag Bearer, Honor Guard
Presentation of the Colors (see diagram)
• Leader Says:
“ Please rise for the presentation of the colors”
o
(all scouts and audience members rise)
o “Scouts Attention!”
Scouts stand at attention, stand straight, hands at your sides, not crossed, not in your
pockets, at your sides.
o “Color Guard, Forward March”
Color Guard moves forward, following diagram, crossing the flags, the Scout flag dips
slightly when crossing the United States flag.
o “Scouts, Salute!”
Scouts, still at attention, salute the flag.
o “Color Guard, Halt! Post the Colors”
Color Guard stops, then places the flags in their flag holders.
o “Please Join me in the Pledge of Allegiance”
Scouts give the scout sign, and everyone recites the Pledge of Allegiance in unison.
o “Color Guard, about face!”
Color Guard snaps about face

Leader Here
o “Color Guard, forward march.”
Color Guard marches to rear of room.
o “Scouts, at ease, Please be seated.”

Scouts may relax and be seated.

Scout Flag dips to

Color Guard halts by flags.
o “Scouts, Salute!”
Scouts, still at attention, salute the flag.
o “Retrieve the Colors!”
