Basic outline for writing a Letter of Support:

In paragraph 1 – Introduce the potential member. Include information about the potential

member’s family members belonging to this sorority.

In paragraph 2 - Include character and personality traits, and awards merited by the

potential member. Add involvement in a major fundraiser and the potential member’s

leadership and activities.

In paragraph 3 - Show the potential member’s participation in community service.

Show the potential member’s scholarship and geographical/class balance.

In paragraph 4 – Give your relationship to the potential member and her ability to meet

the financial obligations of the sorority.
