applicant’s ability to undertake these studies and achieve a successful professional career in this

field. We would particularly appreciate your opinion of the applicant’s ability to relate to and

work with children in child care settings.

Department at Vancouver Island University.

1. In what capacity have you known this applicant and over what time period have you known

this individual?

2. One of the admission requirements to the Early Childhood Education and Care program is 60

hours of work experience in a licensed child care facility such as a family childcare, group

day care or preschool. If this requirement was met (partially or completely) in your setting,

please document the nature of the work the applicant carried out and the number of work

experience hours the applicant completed in your facility.

3. Please comment on your perception of the applicant’s ability to relate to individual children,

and to groups of children, in a child care setting:
