Control Systems Engineer
Job Description:
Design and fabricate AC dynamometer interface and control systems with data logging
capabilities for application in industrial, automotive and aerospace test stands. This includes
research, design, creation of manufacturing drawings and electrical schematics, electrical panel
layout and assembly, programming and prototype testing.
Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering principals including common digital and analog
communication protocols, creation of system block diagrams, schematic drafting, data logging
system design.
• Experience with PLC programming.
• Hands on experience in electrical panel layout and assembly, and familiarity with NEC codes.
• Proficient in 2D computer aided drafting (Solidworks or equivalent).
• Able to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings.
• Capable of working on multiple projects at once.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.
• Able to deliver results in both supervised and unsupervised environments.
• Good verbal and written communications skills in English.
• A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or similar) is desirable.
Responsibilities:
• Design test stand control systems.
• Produce electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings.
• Work in a hands-on capacity to manufacture and assemble designed control systems and
prototype equipment.
• Create user guides for the control systems.
• Document engineering and manufacturing procedures as required.
• Research new products and procedures as required.
• Effectively receive information from your supervisors for a given project, develop further
information as required through contact with customers or company personnel.
• Deliver results when expected in accordance with project schedules.
• Track your labor time.
• Upgrade job skills required to improve performance both at company expense and your own.
