MINIMUM WAGE
Connecticut’s minimum wage in 2006 is $7.40 per hour. On January 1, 2007, the minimum wage will

increase to $7.65 per hour

Office of Program Policy
As of October 1, 2006, Conn. Gen. Stat. §31-235 exempts unemployed individuals with a permanent,
long-term or chronic mental or physical impairment from the requirement of looking for full-time work if the
individual (1) provides documentation to the Administrator from a licensed physician which certifies that
the individual is unable to work full-time and the limitation to part-time employment is due to the
impairment and (2) the individual establishes that the part-time limitation does not effectively remove the
individual from the labor force.
Pursuant to federal regulations and state law, wage information and other confidential Unemployment
Compensation information may be requested and utilized for other governmental purposes, including, but
not limited to, verification of an individual’s eligibility for other government programs.
Office of Apprenticeship Training
The Connecticut Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship Training requests that employers review
the information attached with this notice regarding Registered Apprenticeship.
