Three Time-Saving Suggestions from the Tax Automation & Wage Processing Unit…

1) File Your Quarterly Taxes Without Fillng Out Paper Forms

Simply use our Connecticut Internet Tax and Wage System. It’s been available for three years, and more

than 13,000 employers took advantage of it last quarter. To join with employers who have chosen to

eliminate the use of paper forms for quarterly filing, log on to https://wage.ctdol.state.ct.us.

2) Magnetic Media Filers – Eliminate the Need for Diskettes, Cartridges or Tapes

If you are currently submitting your quarterly tax and wage information on a diskette, cartridge or tape,

save time and money by submitting the information electronically using File Transfer Protocol (FTP). The

file you send will remain the same; however, it is uploaded via our Web site.

Upon a successful

transmission, an email confirmation showing receipt of your information will be sent Please complete the

form at to register for this convenient service.

3) File your No Wage Returns via Telephone

If you are a registered employer, but are currently operating without employees, you are still required to

file a quarterly return with the Department of Labor. These no wage returns can be filed quickly and

easily over the telephone. A recent enhancement to the system is the implementation of a confirmation

number after completing a telephone filing. The confirmation number must be retained as your evidence

of timely filing.
