Driving Contract for Teens

I understand that the car I drive is my parent’s or guardian’s property and I may only drive it with their

permission and in accordance with their rules and restrictions.

I will:

1. wear my safety belt at all times, when driving or riding as a passenger;

2. require that every passenger wear a safety belt;

3. keep my doors locked while driving;

4. always drive at safe speeds for the conditions- at or below the speed limit;

5. obey traffic laws.

I will NOT:

1. talk on a cell phone and/or text message while driving;

2. drive under the influence of alcohol or other drugs;

3. be a passenger in a car driven by someone under the influence of alcohol or other drugs;

4. allow alcohol or other drugs, or weapons in the car;

5. engage in thrill-seeking, stunts, or any form of racing;

6. conceal any tickets, warnings, or collisions from parents/guardians;

7. allow anyone else to drive the car;

8. allow passengers, other than parents, until that privilege is given by my parents.

If I violate this contract, then I will receive the following consequence(s):
