B11. CONTROL OF PROPERTY
The licensing agency must determine that the applicant/licensee has control over facility property. Once the
facility is licensed, the licensee must be able to ensure that the facility and the grounds are maintained and
are in compliance with the regulations (e.g., necessary repairs are being made to the physical plan,
swimming pools are inaccessible to children, etc.).
If the applicant/licensee owns the property, proof of ownership must be provided. A copy
of the deed or a property-tax bill is acceptable.

If the property is rented or leased, a copy of the rental or lease agreement must be
provided. (There are no requirements related to length of the rental or lease agreement.)
