Manitoba Hal - Learn Any Song by Ear (all levels)

This workshop teaches the basics of the Circle of Fifths and how when combined

with a basic ukulele tuner the participant can learn any song they want to play.

Again this is suitable for beginners because we don't need to be able to play the

songs well at this stage but also great for the confident beginner to intermediate

player for ear training. Materials needed for this workshop are a uke tuned 

G-C-E-A and a chromatic tuner.

Manitoba Hal - Beginning Blues (Beginner)

This is a blues tutorial that is designed for beginning ukulele players and

beginning blues players. Hal uses the key of C and the chords C, F, G7 and lead

the players through a basic 12 bar blues progression including shuffle patterns

and the turnaround. The participants play through the entire workshop and learn

little tidbits of theory as it applies to the blues and the ukulele. Players need to

have a basic ability with strumming and changing these three chords.
