TEKS Based Lesson Plan
• Station 2: Students will be given a variety of cards. Some cards will have a fraction and some
cards will have a decimal. The students will match the fraction card with equivalent decimal card.
Cards can be cutout of the document, Fraction Decimal Match Game.
• Station 3: Students will identify decimal value represented by the shaded blocks of the decimal
chart. Using the document, Decimal, the student will count the number of shaded blocks versus
the total number of blocks and determine the decimal value it represents. An extended activity
would be to have the students identify the place values of the decimal.
