• Distinguish between needs and wants.
• Group work.
Activity:
A. Students are asked to bring in a magazine or catalogue from home
B. Working in groups, students cut out 3-5 products each from the magazine and sort them into wants and
needs. Dividing a piece of paper into half, they will then glue the wants on one side and the needs
on another.
Learning check:
• Can their group articulate why they chose to label certain products as a want or a need?
• Did the students share an idea in their group and did they listen to others?
