General Rate includes machinery/equipment and replacement parts used in agricultural production;

machinery/equipment and replacement parts used in manufacturing, compounding, mining and quarrying; gross

receipts from places of amusement and entertainment; and gross proceeds of sales of tangible personal property.

The City of Pelham does not have a reduced rate for farm equipment or manufacturing equipment.

Automotive Rate includes new and used automotive vehicles, motorboats, truck trailers, semi-trailers, house

trailers and mobile homes.

Rental Tax is due from the lessor on the total gross receipts from rentals of tangible personal property in Pelham.

INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION CONCERNING THE COMPLETION OF THIS REPORT

•

To avoid the application of penalty and/or interest amounts, this report must be filed on or before the 20

of the

month following the period for which the report is submitted. Cancellation postmark will determine timely filing.

•

The Discount is allowed for timely filing and payment of Sales and Sellers Use Tax only and may not exceed

$400.00 per month. The Discount is not allowed on Consumers Use Tax or Rental Tax.

•

A remittance for the total amount due made payable to the City of Pelham must be submitted with this report.

•

A report should be submitted on a monthly basis unless you have requested and been approved for a different

filing frequency.

•

Any credit for prior overpayment must be approved in advance by the City of Pelham.

•

No duplicate or replicated forms accepted except with prior approval of the City of Pelham.
