For Back on My Feet, participation in the CFC means that we’re able to help homeless

individuals realize their potential through running and help provide an opportunity to set

and reach goals. Take Chris H. for example – having spent almost 15 years in prison,

Chris was an extremely quiet and shy individual when he first came to the program.

Running helped Chris realize his full potential and gave him a sense of confidence. Not

only did Chris accomplish half and full marathons, but he also excelled in his job, going

from part time telemarketer to a full time sales manager and trainer. Furthermore, BoMF

was able to aid Chris in completing his yoga certification class – a lifelong dream of his.

Now, Chris also conducts yoga instruction and hopes to one day bring his practice back

to prisons.
