These notes include explanatory information on federal agencies' reports from volume 28 (FY
1978–80) to volume 59 (FY 2009–11) of the Survey of Federal Funds for Research and
Development (Federal Funds Survey). For volume 59, actual data were collected for FY
2009, and estimates were collected for FY 2010 and FY 2011.

Although the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS)
