Dear Family,

I would like you to do an activity with your child using a small amount of

money. I would like you and your child to figure out one way to make 12¢ using

pennies, nickels, and/or dimes. Once you have figured it out, help your child

draw a picture and label the coins to show the way you did it.

In school we will look at all of the different ways children found to make 12¢.

We will see how many different ways there are.
