18.14 Emergency drills:
– Has the entire crew been involved in every
drill? If not, each crew member must have
participated in an abandon ship drill and
a fire drill each month?
– Has each lifeboat been launched, and
manoeuvred in the water by its assigned
operating crew, at least once every three
months during an abandon ship drill
(SOLAS Ch III Reg 19)?
– Is there a systematic way of recording
crew attendance to drills to show
compliance with the above requirement?
