Advise store managers regarding display and merchandising.



Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages,

missed or late deliveries, and other problems.



Assure products purchased must meet or enhance Pacific Whale Foundation’s mission.



Develop and communicate Retail standard operating procedures



Manage and mentor store managers and Adventure Photo manager



Oversee cash handling and receiving procedures



Direct store managers with regard to physical inventory count and cycle counts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

 Must have a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years work experience in retail buying,

or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary

knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the

essential functions of this position.

 Minimum of two years of experience with Retail Inventory POS Computer System

preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

 Ability to bend and safely lift up to 40lbs to a height of 4 feet and carry that amount 20

feet in distance.

 Sufficient manual dexterity to safely use a box cutter, to handle and push a broom, to

receive merchandise, and to transport merchandise out to the sales floor.

 Excellent Customer service skills.

 Computer skills required: POS, and inventory management software, Excel, MS Word.

 Good organizational skills and time management.

 Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

 Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and/or weekends

 Strong work ethic.

 Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.

 Must be able to maintain and project a positive attitude in a dynamic and demanding

work environment.

Pay: Negotiable

Status: Full Time, Salary

Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 AM
