Meditation
One finds that in the Silence, the Spirit of God that is within man will speak, not in words
perhaps, but in an inner realization. Let us now quietly realize together that very present
Love of God which is the Law of Eternal Life. Or in the words of Longfellow: “Let us
then labor for an inward stillness, an inward stillness and an inward healing; that perfect
silence where the lips and heart are still, and we no longer entertain our own imperfect
thoughts and vain opinions. But God alone speaks in us, and we wait in singleness of
heart, that we may know His will, and in the silence of our spirits, that we do His will, and
do that only.”
In this last week ___________ found rest and comfort in listening to music. Let us be
still within, listen, remembering this promise Jesus made:
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide
with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it
seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall
be in you. (Jn.14: 16-17)
