Let us close our service here by uniting our thought in reciting the Lord's Prayer: "Our
Father, which art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as
we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For
thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
In this moment we are ready to pray. I am here Lord. How I came to be and what shall
be is a mystery to me, but I know I am here with thee. It is the soul that goes on, the
spirit to whom we wish God speed. We are not dismayed that what appears to be, fades
away; that which is, lives eternally.
Amen
The coffin has been sealed, and now we must say “AMEN”. I wonder if you know that
amen means “sealed in faithfulness”. We have the faith to know that _________ is not in
there, but in here and here and everywhere the presence of God, of Life is to be found.
AMEN. Our words in prayer are sealed with an AMEN, because they are spoken in faith,
in love, in truth. Our thought is complete, our love is perfect. Nothing can be added to this
moment, nor taken from it; so we seal it with an AMEN. God has blessed us with the
presence of _____________, and for that we are eternally grateful. AMEN.
