Planning for an Emergency Event
Identifying an Emergency Response Team (ERT)
An ERT will be responsible for investigating all emergency events and evaluating the impact
such event will have on <Your Business Here>. Once impact has been determined the ERT
Manager will be responsible for informing Senior Management of potential problems. In
addition to the ERT for the entire organization, each department or division will have a
Continuity Emergency Response Team (CERT). The CERT Manager will be responsible for
reporting to the Business Continuity (BC) Manager below the ERT Manager. See diagram
below for further details.
