Procedures
In accordance with the City of Houston’s administering federally funded programs and to
comply with all applicable Federal Regulations,

will adopt the following procedures
to implement an Affirmative Marketing Plan:
1. Dissemination of Information

will inform the public and potential tenants about the affirmative marketing
policy.

will:
a) Use the HUD Equal Housing Opportunity logo in advertisements for the
leasing of units.
b) Display fair housing posters in the leasing office where HOME Program
clients are received.
c) Issue press releases and public service announcements about the
availability of units for Low- and Very Low-Income families.
d) Coordinate efforts to inform minority owners of the Minority Business
Development Agency and organizations of minority entrepreneurs.
e) Coordinate efforts to inform female owners of local women’s
organizations.
Ownership Name or Management Name-if applicable
will closely coordinate with the
City of Houston to ensure that the units are affirmatively marketed to ensure that eligible
persons from all racial, ethnic and gender groups in the housing market:
1.
Know about the vacancies;
2.
Feel welcome to apply; and
3.
Have the opportunity to purchase or rent, as applicable, the units assisted
