Consignment Requirements
Fees
Market on Main will receive 30% commission on all consignment sales. Payments by Market on Main for sales
by check
made under this Consignment Agreement to the vendor will be made
Product Guidelines
All food products must be made in licensed kitchens (unless clearly labeled on product), labeled, priced,
packaged and displayed for re-sale. Processing of any and all food products must comply with all state and
federal regulations, and consigner must supply documentation of such compliance to the market manager if
processing is home based.
All products offered for sale at Market on Main must comply with state and federal
standards governing weight, packaging, display and labeling.
Vendor Obligations
*Consigners are responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certification that must be
available upon request. All processed product and food vendors are required to carry general liability
insurance. General liability is suggested for all vendors
*Consigners are responsible for filling their designated shelf space, as well as signage and prices for all items.
*The Consigner shall be responsible for all packing, transportation and insurance costs incurred in shipping
items to and from Market on Main.
*Our Country Store is an ‘at-will’ consigner and can, at will, remove consigned items from store shelves
without notice. In such an event, all unsold inventory will be available to consigner in a timely manner for pick
up. Consigners can choose to terminate the consignment relationship at any time with no one held at fault. In
such an event, all unsold inventory will also be available to consigner in a timely manner for pick up.
