LOCAL RULE 67.1
ESTATES OF MINORS
(A)
An application to dispense with guardianship shall be submitted by the parent(s) with
whom the minor resides or the person who has custody of the minor. The amount of
funds involved must be equal to or less than the amount set forth in R.C. 2111.05.
(B)
The application shall set forth the source and amount of funds that will be distributed on
behalf of the minor. Unless otherwise ordered by the Court, the funds shall be deposited
in an interest bearing account in a financial institution approved by the Court in the name
of the minor. The funds shall be impounded and shall be released to the minor only when
he or she reaches the age of majority, or as otherwise ordered by the Court.
(C)
The applicant’s counsel, or if the applicant is not represented, the payor’s counsel, shall
immediately deposit said funds and thereafter file a completed verification of receipt and
deposit.
