LOCAL RULE 70.1
SETTLEMENT OF WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIMS
(A)
Applications to settle wrongful death claims shall be set for hearing. The applicant must
be present at the hearing.
(B)
In opening an estate for the primary purpose of settling or resolving a wrongful death
claim, the attorney fees associated with opening the estate shall be assessed as a portion
of the contingent fee.
