General Manager Remote Operations
Responsible to:
Primary Objective
Provide high level secretarial and administrative assistance to the General Manager and Section Heads of
the Remote Operations business unit.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Maintain and update accurate records using the electronic diary, mail and computer databases.
2.
Organise appointments, meetings and conferences which may include collating meeting papers,
coordinating venues and arranging travel itineraries.
3.
Coordinate the preparation of Power and Water Corporation Executive Management Team, Board
Papers, Ministerial Briefs, Cabinet Submissions and Legislative Assembly Briefs.
4.
Ensure requests for advice or correspondence are provided in a professional and timely manner.
5.
Undertake research for specific information using electronic resources and/or networking relationships
with internal and external key stakeholders.
6.
Secretariat function for business unit committees including compiling agendas and minute taking.
7.
Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for the General Manager and relevant staff.
8.
Liaise with Executive Assistant to Managing Director, and other Personal Assistants to General
Managers to build working relationships in a team environment.
9.
Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water’s safety, environmental and quality policy, safety
principles, corporate values and strategies.

4.
Strong time management and effective organisational skills, with the ability to think laterally, work under
pressure and achieve work deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
5.
Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with
people of diverse cultures.
6.
Knowledge and broad understanding of office protocols in a corporate business work environment.
7.
Demonstrated high level computer literacy skills, word processing packages and various computer
applications.
Further Information
The maximum remuneration package figure stated for this position includes base salary, superannuation, value of
