following antibiotic therapy
GIARDIA SPECIFIC ANTIGEN
This test detects protein
Negative
structures on the giardia
parasite. It is more sensitive
and specific for this
particular parasite than the
O&P microscopic exam.
WBC’S
Stool WBC (white
None Seen
blood cells) may be
present in the stool
when there is a bacterial
infection.
