Lesson 19: Dressing Appropriately for the Weather
Scenario:
Darnell and Sarah wake up in the morning. Darnell finds his
favorite pair of jeans buried at the bottom of his drawer. He is
so excited to wear them with his favorite t-shirt. Sarah checks
the weather and decides to wear her jean shorts and a matching
top. After finishing their breakfast and brushing their teeth,
Darnell grabs his heavy winter coat that he loves wearing and
Sarah grabs a light jacket and both head out the door. Outside, it
is July and sunny. The thermometer reads 80°. Who do you
think chose the best outfit for the weather? Why?
It is very important that the clothes you pick in the morning
match the weather that is outside. You do not want to wear a
winter coat when it is very hot out. This chart and lesson will
help you to make sure you are dressed right for the weather.
Objective: To be able to choose clothing to wear that matches
the temperature and weather outside.
Materials:
• Computer
