Important:
Hang up the “Hand Washing Chart” located on page X in
your house to remind housemates and friends the proper
way to wash hands
Steps:
1. Identify when hand washing is necessary. Refer to chart from
the Health Department of NJ on page X to
identify when hand washing is needed.
2. Get to a sink that has running water and
soap.
3. Turn on the water and adjust hot and
cold handles, if necessary, to achieve
warm water flow.
4. Test the water temperature by lightly touching the flow of
water to be careful to not burn yourself if the water is too hot.
5. Wet both your hands with water.
6. Take the soap and apply it your hand.
7. Rub the soap thoroughly on both hands to lather soap for AT
LEAST 15 seconds. Do not forget to get the soap on the back of
