WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 10 years of professional and / or university / secondary school theatre experience in Costume
Design and shop management.
Knowledge or experience utilizing technology and innovative pedagogy to deliver exceptional teaching and
learning in a project-based environment is desired.
General technical theatre knowledge with the ability to manage on sight facilities is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in Safety is required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
BS, BA or BFA in discipline generally required with related experience or equivalency in professional work.
Licensed to teach in Louisiana or ability to obtain Artist Ancillary status.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching Costume Design and construction with a record of successful teaching of appropriate
production courses.
Demonstrate self-motivation, have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and have the ability to
multi-task and interact in a team environment.
History of demonstrated design abilities for musical theatre and dance as well as traditional drama and
new plays.
Exhibits a demonstrated and ongoing creative design agenda in professional theatre.
