Desired Qualifications__________________________________________________________
Experience raising one million dollars or more in a non-profit arts organization OR other
fundraising experience with another type of organization that generated at least one million
dollars per year.
Experience working in a professional symphony orchestra environment preferred.
Track record for building a staff and developing its members.
Experience in working closely with a volunteer governing board of trustees.
Ability to build a process that engages and motivates constituents to act.
Resilient and aggressive.
Hard worker.
Takes creative approaches to traditional fundraising challenges.
Position Requirements__________________________________________________________
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in arts administration or fundraising certification a
strong plus.
Minimum of three years of senior arts management experience in an organization of similar or
larger size, or equivalent experience in a related field.
Demonstrated experience with major gifts, planned giving, and endowment building.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Outstanding oral and written communications skills.
Ability to interact with others in a manner that inspires trust and confidence.
Demonstrated success motivating and developing staff and Board members, musicians, and
volunteers.
Results and team-oriented work style.
Flexible and resilient.
Commitment to outstanding customer service.
Strong computer skills; experience with Archtics software desirable.
