Procedure
Students, in small groups, should:
• Choose one of the groups of elements of the periodic table
• Find out on the periodic table which are the elements in that group
• Find out the following information for each of the elements:
name and symbol of the element
properties of the element (atomic number, mass number, ...)
where can you find the element in nature? Do you use it in your
everyday life? Is it present in food? Is there a risk associated with its
use? .....
You can find the above information by consulting your textbook, other
books, internet. Please indicate bibliography and websites.
