PROGRAM METHODOLOGY
Crouse Hospital uses an approach to clinical and service quality improvement that is
consistent with scientific principles (PDSA). Our approach has five key processes:
Definition
Measurement of organizational and patient care processes with data collected
through quality indicators.
Analysis, assessment and reassessment of the data.
Improvement of care and organizational processes based on the analysis of data.
Control
Crouse Hospital’s Quality Improvement Program is based upon data collection and
analysis to assess organizational performance in the quality of clinical patient care, the
efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery systems and the level of customer service
provided during the delivery of those services. Data collection will occur at many levels
throughout the organization and on a variety of important functions, but the following
organization-wide functions are identified as most important to the delivery of patient
care services and achieving desired patient outcomes:
