Eating out
Using measuring cups to measure your portions when eating at
home will make carbohydrate counting much easier when eating out.
Many restaurants, including fast food chains, provide nutrient information
for their food items. If the carbohydrate content is not available, refer to a
carbohydrate counting resource (book or website) and use it to find the
food and the grams of carbohydrate.
Eating out exercise

Take a guess at the carbohydrate content when eating out.
2.
Use nutritional information from restaurant to determine actual
carbohydrate content.
