4.0 Incident Management
Turn immediately to Section 5.0 for pre-planned incidents or slowly
developing scenarios that are not ‘no notice’ emergencies but have the
potential to disrupt School activities e.g. computer virus, flu pandemics,
a pre - planned strike, forecast for heavy snow or a power outage etc
4.1 Purpose of the Incident Management Phase
The purpose and priorities for this phase are to:
Protect the safety and welfare of pupils, staff, visitors and the wider community
Protect vital assets e.g. equipment, data, reputation
Ensure urgent and necessary communication takes place
Support the Business Continuity phase
Support the Recovery and Resumption phase
