SCHEDULING BOISE PARKS & RECREATION FACILITIES
Boise Parks & Recreation parks and facilities require additional coordination, consideration and permitting through the
Boise Parks & Recreation Department. The information below will provide you with the necessary resources to schedule
an event through Boise parks & Recreation.
SCHEDULING BOISE CITY PARK FACILITIES
All park use requests for Community Events need to be returned to BPR no later than forty-five (45) days or ninety (90)
days for events with Beer/Wine sales, prior to event date. Annual events have first priority and can tentatively be
scheduled three years in advance providing the event is on the same date, time and park location. Some annual event
dates will vary due to holidays and calendar variations. New events can schedule park use 11 months in advance except
for Ann Morrison Park, Julia Davis Park and the Greenbelt which can be scheduled starting the first business day in
February.
SPECIAL EVENT LICENSING PROCESS:
Step #1 RESERVE A DATE, TIME & LOCATION. Call (208) 608-7644 or email to reserve the
date for your event, including the dates and times for set up and clean up.
Step #2 READ POLICIES FOR EVENT PLANNERS This booklet outlines park policies and identifies the requirements for
use of City Park property for a community event. Use the Check List on the back page of the Guidelines to help you
complete the process for approval.

Step #3 COMPLETE BOISE CITY SPECIAL EVENTS APPLICATION AND ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS REQUIRED
FOR YOUR EVENT. All information must be submitted to Parks & Recreation no later than sixty (60) days prior to event
date. Include all applications: Park Use, Amplified Sound, Short Term Concession, Utility Vehicle, Vehicle Turf/Overnight,
Beer/Wine Permit, and Beer & Wine Sales Applications. New events, multi‐day events or events requesting Beer and
Wine Sales, will require a written proposal and ninety (90) days to process, as well as obtain approval from Boise Parks &
Recreations Board of Commissioners.
Step #4 FOLLOW UP no later than thirty (30) days prior to the event date with the site plan, list of vendors, suppliers,
proof of insurance and activity agenda. Be sure to call us if you have any questions.
