PROJECT MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR
coordinate Councils response to Councillor and customer requests relating to tendering
and contract management, including investigation of issues, drafting responses and the
development of proposals
provide a high standard of clear, accurate and timely technical and general advice to
Council, management and clients within areas of delegated authority
foster strong relationships with key internal and external departments, agencies or
industry groups involved with Loddon Shire
liaise with, and advise, Councillors, community groups and other business units on
effective project management and contract administration practices and protocols
including compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
deliver projects in a manner and to a quality which meet the expectations of both internal
and external stakeholders.

The incumbent will carry out such other duties as directed that are consistent with the general
requirements of this position.
3 ACCOUNTABILITY AND EXTENT OF AUTHORITY
The incumbent will:
ensure contract documentation and technical specifications are adequate to facilitate
delivery of Councils capital works program on time, within budget and in accordance with
relevant engineering standards
ensure compliance with tendering and contract management documentation and practices
across the organisation
provide regular reporting and updates on the progress of contract specification
development and associated tendering and contractor engagements
maintain adequate documentation and records concerning contract development and
administration
ensure contractor or supplier engagements are conducted in accordance with Council
policies and procedures e.g. compliant supplier database.
4 JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING
The incumbent will:
be required to make decisions within the broad parameters of Council’s policies and
directions
exercise engineering judgement including an ability to identify practical solutions to
problems that may have no precedent
undertake tender evaluation and provide recommendations for award of contracts to
management or Council.
