Upholstered Furniture and Mattresses
New upholstered furniture within board and care facilities shall be tested
in accordance with the provisions of 10.3.2.1(1) and 10.3.3.
Upholstered furniture belonging to the resident(s) in sleeping rooms shall
not be required to be tested, provided that a smoke alarm is installed in
such rooms. Battery-powered single-station smoke alarms shall be
permitted.
Newly introduced mattresses shall be tested in accordance with the
provisions of 10.3.2.2 and 10.3.4.
Mattresses belonging to the resident(s) in sleeping rooms shall not be
