Section 3.1 - Acknowledgements of tax returns
Format of the NM state 120 byte ACK Record follows IRS standard and
specifications as defined by IRS i.e. outer, inner envelope and recap
records
NM TRD will retrieve by WEB TRANSMISSION the tax return data from
IRS website, after which NM will generate an acknowledgement/reject.
NM TRD will transmit state return acknowledgments/rejects to IRS website
within 48 hours of receipt from IRS, except on weekends or holidays.
Transmitters/electronic return originator’s (ERO) may view/retrieve NM
TRD acknowledgements/rejects from the IRS website.
