quirements under this subsection, the Secretary shall

award grants to States for the purpose of decreasing

pedestrian and bicycle fatalities and injuries that re-
11
sult from crashes involving a motor vehicle.

‘‘(2) F
.—The Federal share of

the cost of a project carried out by a State using
14
amounts from a grant awarded under this subsection
15
may not exceed 80 percent.

‘‘(3) E
.—A State shall receive a
LIGIBILITY

grant under this subsection in a fiscal year if the an-
18
nual combined pedestrian and bicycle fatalities in
19
the State exceed 15 percent of the total annual
20
crash fatalities in the State, based on the most re-
21
cently reported final data from the Fatality Analysis
22
Reporting System.
